What it is

A Working Seat In A Working Agency

This isn't a filing-cabinet placement. NewLife co-op students join a working agency: they rotate through real client accounts, sit in on strategy, ride along on shoot days, and train on the sales and networking skills that build careers — cold calls, door-knocking, local events, live pitches.

How it works

Rotations, Reps & Real Work

Client rotations, bi-weekly

Students are placed with a different NewLife client each rotation — restaurants, construction, e-commerce, gyms — for hands-on exposure to how real industries actually market.

Sales & networking days

Cold calling, door-knocking, local events and live pitching — the skills school can't simulate, practiced on real prospects with the team beside you.

Real deliverables

Shoot days, edits, campaign prep and reporting — work that ships to real clients, with a portfolio to show for it.

Mentorship from the team

Cruz, Keegan and Rudy — paid media, sales and production — working with students directly, not from across the building.

Why it's different

Not A Shadowing Program

Front lines, not shadowing

Students work on live accounts and real growth targets — not observation hours.

Sales-skill development

Cold outreach, pitching and follow-up — trained deliberately, practiced weekly.

A real network

Client owners, local business events, and the people who hire — met in person, not on LinkedIn.

Resume & career building

Shipped work, referenced results and a story to tell in every interview after.

The partnership

The SCDSB Agreement

NewLife hosts co-op students through a formal agreement with the Simcoe County District School Board. Placements run through the school co-op program, with structured learning goals and supervision.

From the program

A Student's Word

★★★★★
“Thank you so much for having me into your co-op at NewLife Marketing and teaching me core business skills — and for demonstrating that you don't need post-secondary to be successful. Going on site visits to the actual shoots was very beneficial to my learning and placement goals. I'm more confident in my entrepreneurial skills than ever before, and no longer have worries about moving forward in business.”

Beyond the office

The Road Trip Seat

Co-op isn't desk-bound here: our co-op student rode along on the summer business road trip — Toronto to Washington DC to Tampa — filming client work the whole way. See the road trip →
